Dear Friends and Supporters, Thank you so much for sticking with me during this past year. We fought hard, but we just didn’t quite get there.
This past year has led me and my husband Chuck on an incredible journey, not only through nearly every corner of the 20 counties of the 18th District, but through life. We have met many wonderful people and made long-lasting friendships. We count all of you among them. We live in interesting times. What I truly hope is that these changes in the leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives will not cause undue harm to the working families, hard-working men and woman who live here in Central Illinois and across this nation. As I have said many, many times during the course of this campaign, this election is not about those who strive to become your representative, it is about you. And you deserve the best! I don’t know where life will lead me next, but I do know that I will never stop fighting to improve the lives of working families and to make things better for our less fortunate friends and neighbors. If you remain out of work, its easy to believe the job-stimulus bill did not work. We now know it is working so well that hundreds of elected Republicans lined up to get jobs for their states on the QT.
